Fiddy Davis

Dr. Fiddy Davis is a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Michigan Performance Research (MiPR) Lab, University of Michigan’s School of Kinesiology.  Before coming to U-M, Dr. Davis was the founder and head of the department of Exercise and Sports Sciences and the Centre for Sports Science, Medicine, and Research at Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE).  He completed his doctorate at MAHE, India.  With an intent to build capacity in health and human performance for India, he pioneered exercise and sports science education by starting two full-fledged programs (a bachelor and a master’s degree) at MAHE.

At the MiPR Lab, Dr. Davis investigates the utility of wearable devices to pick up exercise induced adaptations and injury risk in endurance athletes. His domain expertise includes physiologic testing, applied kinematic analysis of sports motion, use of kinetic variables to monitor athlete’s performance & return to sport, and development of sports specific injury prevention program.
